VibeFree ad format and specs
A VibeFree advert is one line of text. There is no banner asset, no HTML tag and no video: you write a company name, a single line of copy, a destination URL and - optionally - a brand icon, and VibeFree draws that natively wherever the campaign runs, labelled Sponsored, inside its own interface. Campaigns run on the web app and the VS Code extension today, and can be bought for the mobile app and the Windows desktop app now - those impressions start when each one launches.
The creative, field by field
| Field | What it is | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Company name | The bold name at the top of the card. | Required, 100 characters or fewer |
| Ad line | The single line of copy beneath it. | Required, 60 characters or fewer |
| Destination URL | Where a click goes. | Required, must be an http:// or https:// URL |
| Brand icon | The square logo beside the company name. | Optional - an http(s) image URL or a data:image/ URI, up to 100,000 characters (about 73 KB of image as a base64 data URI) |
60 characters is the whole pitch: Write it as a headline, not a sentence. The line sits in a conversation the reader is part-way through, so what it competes with is the answer they asked for - not the other ads on a page, because there are none.
The two placements
- Loader Advert - on the loading screen while the agent works, from £1.99 per 1,000 verified views.
- In-Response card - beside the answer once it lands, from £12.99 per 1,000 verified views.
- Both take the same creative, and a campaign can buy either or both.
Where that one creative runs
- Web app - the vibefree.dev chat, in any browser.
- VS Code extension - the chat panel inside the editor.
- Mobile app - Android and iOS - buyable now, serving from launch.
- Windows desktop app - the Windows app - buyable now, serving from launch.
How big a campaign can be
- One block is 1,000 verified views. Blocks are the only unit - there is no daily budget to pace and no flight dates to set.
- Bid per block: from £1.99 on the loader placement and £12.99 on the end-of-response card, up to £10,000.00 per block.
- Blocks per placement: 1 to 10,000, so a single placement can carry up to 10,000,000 verified views.
- Charged in GBP through Stripe checkout, whichever currency this page is displaying.
What a higher bid actually buys
A share of the rotation, not a better slot. When a placement is due, VibeFree draws from the approved campaigns bought for that surface and placement, weighted by bid - so bidding above the minimum makes your ad come up more often against the others in rotation, and buys nothing else. There is no profile behind the draw and no auction against a second-price reserve.
Review, then serving
Every campaign is reviewed before it serves an impression. Until then the advertiser dashboard shows it as pending, with any rejection reason against it; once approved, impressions, clickthroughs, remaining views and spend update live on the same page.
Frequently asked questions
How long can a VibeFree ad be?
60 characters of ad copy, plus a company name of up to 100. There is no second line, no body paragraph and no image creative - the card is your company name, one line, and an optional brand icon.
Can I run a banner, an HTML creative, or a video?
No. Every placement is text plus an optional icon, drawn by VibeFree into its own interface rather than loaded into an iframe. That is the same decision that means there is no ad-network tag on the page for a filter list to recognise.
Do I need different creative for each surface?
No. One creative runs on every surface a campaign is bought for - Web app, VS Code extension, Mobile app and Windows desktop app - and VibeFree renders it natively on each, so there is nothing to resize or re-cut.
What is the largest campaign I can buy?
Up to 10,000 blocks per placement - 10,000,000 verified views - at a bid of up to £10,000.00 per block. The floor is the current minimum bid (£1.99 on the loader placement); the ceiling is there to catch a typo, not to cap a real campaign.
Is a campaign reviewed before it runs?
Yes. Every campaign is reviewed before it serves a single impression. Until then the advertiser dashboard shows it as pending, and if it is rejected the reason is shown against it there.
