Sponsored rewards: opt-in ads on the earn page

Short answer: sponsored rewards are opt-in units on VibeFree's earn page, where a person chooses to watch, play, learn, answer, be interviewed or try your product, and is rewarded in VibeBucks for finishing. They never appear inside a chat, are sold as their own product with their own minimum bids, are reported apart from in-chat ads, and you pay only for outcomes that were verified - by VibeFree, or by your own signed postback.

They run on the earn page in the web, mobile and desktop apps; the VS Code panel lists them and opens them on the web. Rewarded playables run on the web and desktop only. Field limits for each unit are on the formats and specs page.

Paid questionnaires

  • The builder. Single and multiple choice, scales, NPS, matrices, ranking, short and long text - up to 40 questions, with branching on earlier answers.
  • Screeners and quotas. A screener answer can disqualify; quotas (up to 20) cap completes by country, surface or a screener answer such as stack or experience. A screened-out respondent costs a small fixed screen-out fee rather than a completion.
  • Priced on real length. A completion bills your per-minute bid times the billed minutes: the longer of the length you declared and the median VibeFree measures once ten people have finished. If the median runs more than 20% over your declared length you are told, so understating a survey never makes it cheaper.
  • Quality checks. Completions faster than a third of the median, failed attention checks and straight-lined answers are rejected - not billed and not rewarded.
  • No special-category questions. Questions about health, ethnicity, sexuality, religion, politics, trade union membership, or genetic or biometric data are blocked in the builder and again at submission.
  • What you receive. A dashboard of counts per answer and the mean of every scale, a CSV export, and a survey.response webhook. Each respondent has an id unique to your survey - never an account id or an email - and responses are kept for 180 days.

Paid AI chat interviews

  • You write the goal, up to 12 questions, a cap on follow-ups (up to 12 across the interview), the topics it may go into and the ones it must never raise. The same special-category rule as questionnaires applies.
  • VibeFree's model runs it, unmoderated: it asks your questions in order and follows up within your limits. There are no live calls.
  • Priced on active time, measured from the respondent's own typing and replies rather than the wall clock, and capped at three minutes per answer. Someone who has answered at least two questions can finish early and still count.
  • The transcript you get has personal details removed first, in the dashboard and as an interview.transcript webhook.

Off-site units: verified by your postback

A verified trial, an API-call offer and an offer convert when your server says so. Before one can be submitted your organisation must pass the signed postback test in the sandbox - see conversion tracking with signed postbacks. The person's reward from these is held for a period before it can be spent, which leaves time for a disputed conversion to be reversed. Someone who did the task but was not rewarded can claim within 30 days, and a run of claims against one advertiser goes to VibeFree's review queue as a sign that postbacks are being withheld.

Fraud controls

  • Rewarded only after verification - never on a start, a click or a promise.
  • One completion per person per unit (the daily streak aside), and the same device completing a unit for a second account is refused.
  • A device used by several accounts in a day is flagged, and each person has a daily cap on what rewarded units can earn them.
  • The usual fraud scoring on every event, as for in-chat units.

Reporting and testing

Rewarded inventory is reported on its own, never mixed into in-chat views and clicks, because an opt-in completion and an impression beside a reply are different things. The free sandbox has a mock earn page that plays every unit end to end with pretend coins, so you can sit through your own questionnaire or interview before anyone else does.

Frequently asked questions

What are sponsored rewards on VibeFree?

Opt-in ad units on the VibeFree earn page, where a person chooses to watch a video, play, take a short lesson and quiz, answer a questionnaire, be interviewed or try your product, and is rewarded in VibeBucks for finishing. They never appear inside a chat.

Can I run a paid survey of developers on VibeFree?

Yes. Build the questionnaire in the console - eight question types, branching, screeners, attention checks and quotas - and pay per respondent-minute. Respondents are pseudonymous to you, and questions about health, ethnicity, sexuality, religion, politics or trade union membership are not allowed.

How is a paid questionnaire priced?

Per respondent-minute. One completion bills your bid times the billed minutes, which are the longer of the length you declared and the median length VibeFree measures once ten people have finished. If the median runs more than 20% over what you declared, you are told.

How are low-quality survey responses handled?

Completions faster than a third of the median, failed attention checks and straight-lined answers are rejected, and neither billed nor rewarded. A person can complete each unit once, and the same device completing it for a second account is refused.

Do rewarded ads appear in the chat?

No. Sponsored rewards run only on the earn page, which people visit to take part, and are reported separately from in-chat ads. In-chat ads never pay anyone a reward.
